Acerbis Skid Plate (Black) 2160230001 — Husqvarna / KTM 250/300 2-Stroke
Product Description
Defend your engine cases, frame rails, ignition cover, and water pump area with the Acerbis Skid Plate (2160230001). Engineered specifically for 2-stroke platforms, this guard is constructed from high-density, lightweight polypropylene. This material is designed to absorb significant energy from impacts without the risk of corrosion, cracking, or the permanent deformation common with metal skid plates.
The Acerbis design features a precise, snug fit that limits the accumulation of mud, dirt, and rocks between the plate and the motor. By providing this barrier, the skid plate keeps your engine bay cleaner and helps your bike run quieter by dampening mechanical vibration. The unit is designed to utilize your motorcycle's OEM mounting points, ensuring a secure and efficient installation that makes routine maintenance simple.

Q: Does this include the hardware needed for installation?
A: This unit is designed to integrate with your motorcycle's original OEM mounting hardware for a secure, factory-style installation.
Q: How does this compare to metal skid plates for off-road use?
A: The polypropylene material flexes to absorb impact energy, which prevents the permanent dents and structural deformation often seen with aluminum guards, helping the plate maintain its protective shape over time.
Expert Pro-Tip: To extend the life of your skid plate and frame mounts, inspect the fasteners every time you perform an oil change. Ensuring the plate remains tight against the chassis prevents small rocks or debris from lodging between the plate and the engine case.
