A loafer that decided to be a clog. Black velvety suede on a carved wood sole, with a gold bit across the front and a ring of little gold studs, each one set by hand. Very horse girl, very Paris, very much the shoe people stop you about.
The heel is three inches of solid wood, so it has real height but walks like a block. Wear them with straight jeans and a white shirt, a slip skirt and a big sweater, or bare legs and a mini when the weather allows. Made in Portugal, and built to be resoled rather than replaced.
