At 13 by 9-1/2 inches this oval crosses from plate into platter territory: a whole fish, a family-style stir fry, or a shared order of grilled meats for a table of four. The 1-1/4 inch depth gives it real room for anything that arrives wet, and the long axis suits presentations laid end to end.
It is the second largest of Yoto's four plain ovals, one step below the fifteen-inch, and for most dining rooms that is the practical ceiling before a platter becomes awkward to carry. Melamine holds the warmth of a hot dish briefly without passing it straight to a server's hand. Dishwasher safe, matte green with brown edging.
