A five-inch bowl holding ten ounces, the WL-505 is a soup bowl for a cup portion rather than a main course: a starter consomme, a side of miso, a chowder served with a sandwich. The one-and-seven-eighths-inch wall is shallow enough to eat from with a flat soup spoon.

Woodland's grain wraps the outside of the bowl, so the timber look survives even when the inside is full. Melamine keeps hot liquid hot longer than thin china and will not craze at the rim, and the bowl nests for storage. Forty-eight pieces to the case, sized for a cafeteria or a soup station.
