Wide and shallow: 9-3/8" across but just 1-3/4" deep, holding eighteen ounces. That proportion is the classic rim-soup shape — broth spread thin so it cools to eating temperature quickly, with a wide surface for garnish, croutons or a swirl of oil. This soup bowl also doubles as a pasta service where a deeper vessel would hide the plating.
Yanco’s sheet carries the piece as both soup and salad; the geometry settles it, since the pattern’s 10" salad bowl is two inches deeper at a comparable diameter. White melamine, two dozen boxed together, washable in a commercial machine and resistant to breakage.
