Shallow and wide for its capacity, the ST-3106 salad bowl measures 6-1/2 inches across, 1-1/2 inches deep, and takes 16 ounces.
This is the side-salad and soup-course size: ample for dressed greens at a covered table, compact enough that four dozen fit one case for a high-turnover room. A quarter inch wider and half an inch deeper than the ST-406, it carries four ounces more. The body is matte melamine, concrete gray with a stone-like speckle that masks the scuffing steel tongs leave on gloss dinnerware over a season of service. Dishwasher safe throughout, and light enough that a stacked column lifts in one hand.
