A nappie is the plain round side bowl that restaurant kitchens have leaned on for a century, and this one runs six inches across for twelve and a half ounces. The wall rises in a simple curve with no flange on it, so the whole diameter is usable and a spoon reaches the bottom without fighting a lip.
It takes a vegetable side, a portion of soup where no starter-course ceremony is wanted, oatmeal on a breakfast floor, chili, or a scoop of ice cream. Against the five-and-a-quarter fruit bowl in the same collection it adds three quarters of an inch of width and about seven more ounces of room, which moves it from a garnish piece to a side-dish piece. Chinaware, rated for commercial dishwashers and for microwaves.
