Green is an easy way to keep the two sizes apart on a shelf, since a quarter inch is invisible once they are stacked. Typical loads are chilli, chowder, a generous cereal portion, or a composed fruit serve. A colour also carries an allergen or diet code without anyone having to label the bowl.
