The LY-109 is the dessert plate of the trapezoid run, eight and three-quarter inches long with a one-and-three-eighths-inch rise. It takes a plated dessert with sauce, a cheese selection or a composed starter, and the raised edge keeps a coulis or a dusting of sugar from running to the tablecloth.
Sizing is the point here: this dessert plate is an inch and a half longer than Lyon's trapezoid salad plate and stops short of the ten-and-a-half-inch dinner size, so a pastry section can plate with margin around the dessert instead of filling right to the rim.
