About this product
A 6-inch round with a thin, drawn-up wall, the Sheer bowl takes its name from how little porcelain stands between the food and the eye. At 9 ounces it is the individual soup and side size: a cup of miso, a portion of pickles, a dessert of fruit in syrup. The round footprint stacks squarely, without the rock that a shaped bowl develops in a tall column.
It is the smallest of the three Sheer bowls, with the 8-inch and 9-inch versions above it at 16 and 20 ounces. Being the narrowest of the three, it is the one that fits a crowded place setting where a wider bowl would push the cutlery out. Three dozen to the case.
