Ten inches square with a one and a quarter inch wall, the DI-110 is Discover's square dinner plate — the entrée cover for the pattern, two inches wider again than the eight-inch salad size.
The square face presents a plated main with the sharp geometry a modern dining room asks for, while the broad rim leaves room for sauce work without running to the table edge. Because the corners carry no food, a thumb can take hold there straight off the pass. Cartons hold two dozen rather than four, reflecting the shelf space a plate this wide takes up in a dish room.
