The working dinner plate of the Champs pattern at 10-1/2 inches, the diameter that fits a protein, a starch and a vegetable without the plate reading crowded. An inch and a quarter of rise at the edge gives a jus or a pan sauce somewhere to pool instead of running to the tablecloth.

Against the 12 inch round in the same line this one is the everyday choice: it drops into a dish rack slot that the twelve inch round will not, and it leaves room on a four-top for glassware. Dark green is a forgiving ground for a brown braise or a grilled chop, both of which look muddy on white. Twelve to a case.
