About this product
A 9" round plate with a 1" rise — the lunch plate. Nine inches is the diameter that holds a sandwich and a side, a single entree portion, or a salad course without the plate looking half empty.
Compared with the 6" and 7" rounds this plate has a genuine wall rather than a flat face, so sauced food stays contained and a knife has something to work against. Twenty-four to a case, two dozen, reflects the heavier handling these see. Melamine at this diameter is roughly a third the weight of the equivalent china, which a server carrying three up an arm notices immediately, and the matte black surface will not craze when the plate comes out of a hot dish machine and straight onto a cold table.
