The WCFab WCF100718 Stage 1 High Flow Intake Bundle Kit replaces both factory intercooler pipes on 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks with the 6.6L L5P Duramax. Fitment
Fits 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the 6.6L L5P Duramax. The kit is built for the 2017-2019 trucks. The L5P carried over into the redesigned 2020 trucks, so don't assume this kit fits a 2020 or newer truck; verify fitment by VIN before you order. Why this part
The weak spot on these trucks is the charge-air plumbing between the turbo and the engine. On 2017-2019 L5P trucks the factory plastic intercooler return pipe and its boots can crack or blow off, especially when you tow heavy. When that happens you'll usually hear a loud whoosh and lose power all at once, and you may see a P0299 code or limp mode.
From the factory, the driver (hot) side is a restricted 2-piece, resonator-equipped, 2.5 in. diameter pipe, and the passenger (cold) side is a leak-prone 2-piece plastic and rubber pipe. WCFab replaces both with its heavy duty L5P intercooler pipes: a 3 in. diameter 1-piece driver (hot) side and a 3.5 in. diameter passenger (cold) side. Both are made in the USA from high strength 14 ga. aluminum tube with smooth, aerodynamic mandrel bends for durability and flow. Opening up the path between the turbo and the engine improves efficiency, throttle response and turbo spool-up, and it removes the weak points in the factory design that can lead to boost leaks or complete failures in hard-working and high-performance applications.
The 3 in. driver side pipe eliminates the OEM resonator and the middle boot joint, so there is less to restrict flow and one less joint to leak. It comes with reinforced silicone boots and stainless t-bolt clamps for better temperature resistance and boost-holding. The 3.5" passenger side pipe uses a CNC machined flange with a double o-ring seal and an upgraded silicone boot, built to hold higher boost pressure than the factory parts. That is what stops blown factory boots and the horsepower-robbing boost leaks that come with them. At the Y-bridge connection, the OEM clip ring design is replaced by a silicone boot and stainless steel t-bolt clamps.

Installation notes
