Wavelets PDF

Yumiko Alexander's Wavelet pattern has been reimagined and updated for her new yarn, Cotton Air (releasing Spring 2025). This version of the pattern includes long sleeves that feature a slit at the cuffs. The size range has also been expanded, including more options for different lengths. This pattern uses two strands of Cotton Air held together throughout. The sample uses colors Gray and Ecru.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 
Chest: 43 (47 ½, 52, 57, 61 ½)“/107 (119, 130, 142, 154)cm
Length (laid flat): Choice of 18”, 20 ½”, 23”, or 25 ½“/45cm, 51cm, 57.5cm, or 63.5cm – Adjustable

Choose the chest size for your ease preference and length.

Instructions include the following optional adjustments:
Body length & sleeve length 
For each 1” of additional length, you use approximately 26 (29, 31, 34, 36) yards

20 stitches x 32 rows = 4 ¾“ x 5”/12cm x 12.5cm in Body Stitch pattern with two strands of yarn held together with body needles (blocked)

18” length: 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) skeins of each color,

Needles + tools:
(For Body) US 7/4.5mm knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

The pattern has an option to make a shorter/longer length.
For each 1” length, you use approximately 26 (29, 31, 34, 36) yds.
