About this product
Bring artistic nuance to lighter fare with the Vorágine Salad & Dessert Plate. Created in collaboration with artist Remedios for 4AP, this plate offers playful botanical and tropical motifs on a refined porcelain surface. Ideal for salads, appetizers or dessert courses, it injects design interest into every course and aligns with sustainable, collectible tabletop trends. Offer it as part of a full set or as a standalone accent piece for design-savvy clients.
Within the framework of the series “Atardece en Trópico” (“Tropical Sunset”), the studies Remedios titled “Vorágine” (“Maelstrom”) were born, in memory of and in relation to the novel by José Eustasio Rivera, which she read during childhood—a story of two lovers set between the plains and the Amazon jungle.
The epilogue of the story lingered in her mind and within a few drawings over the years, taking on new forms and resurfacing in these recent studies.
