About this product
Our best-selling boot for over a decade, the Zamberlan Vioz GTX® (long known as the “996”) blends classic Italian craftsmanship with proven backcountry performance, making it a go-to choice for demanding backpacking in rugged, steep terrain. Built with durable Hydrobloc® full-grain leather uppers, it delivers long-lasting protection in harsh conditions, while the Gore-Tex® Performance Comfort lining ensures reliable waterproofing and breathable comfort on extended treks. Underfoot, the exclusive Zamberlan Vibram® 3D outsole provides outstanding traction, effective downhill braking, and a smooth, energy-efficient stride, with self-cleaning lugs that perform in varied terrain. The Zamberlan Flex System enhances natural forward flex without sacrificing lateral stability, while the backpacking fit secures the heel, wraps comfortably over the instep, and allows ample toe room for all-day comfort. Handcrafted in Italy and fully resoleable for years of continued use, the Vioz GTX® stands as one of the most trusted and best-reviewed boots in the outdoor industry.
