About this product

The Vans Super Standard Snowboard Boot is an all-new model with a Y2K-inspired look and a pretty unusual combination under the hood. Vans put its high-end V3 UltraCush liner with FlashDry inside a relatively simple, softer-flexing shell. It's the kind of boot hacking you normally see from experienced and pro-level snowboarders—put the nicest liner you can get into a comfortable shell that actually flexes the way you want. We had a number of dudes, try out the linerless, to get this sort of feel, but durability and practically just make the boots a novelty. This is the next iteration of that idea. We need good liners if we are riding everyday, but want the balance and feel of a soft shell. It doesn't have to be too complicated.

With a 4–5 flex, the Super Standard stays forgiving and easy to move in, while the V3 liner gives you a level of comfort, support, warmth, and moisture management normally reserved for Vans' more technical boots. The V2 Harness and PowerCuff strap add heel hold and support without turning the boot into something overly stiff.

The asymmetrical and instep flex zones keep movement natural, while a V2 PopCush footbed adds cushioning underfoot. A molded toe cap adds durability, and the V1 Waffle Lug outsole uses All-Trac cold-weather rubber for dependable traction.

The Ryo Aizawa Black / Snake colorway really leans into the Super Standard's Y2K aesthetic. Between the throwback styling, softer shell, and top-end V3 liner, this one feels a little like a gift to the homies from Vans—a premium liner setup without forcing you into a premium-level stiff boot.
