The Baumalight MP972 is a heavy-duty, PTO-driven, fixed-tooth mulcher designed for intensive land clearing and vegetation management work. Designed for tractors between 90–135 HP with a Category 2 or Category 3 three-point hitch, this 900-Series mulcher delivers the power, cutting aggression, and durability required for commercial brush removal, pasture reclamation, and forestry maintenance.

The MP972 uses Baumalight’s premium 900-Series teeth, available in Ripper or Planer profiles. Ripper teeth are the preferred all-purpose system, engineered with a V-shaped carbide design that excels in rocky or debris-laden environments. The Planer teeth cut more efficiently and produce finer mulch, ideal for clean timber but more vulnerable to impact.

This PTO-powered mulcher is not limited to reverse-only operation; you can back into heavy brush to break it down, then drive forward over the debris to refine it into a uniform mulch. The adjustable front cutting shield allows operators to control their approach angle and mulch size, optimizing performance for different vegetation and terrain conditions. With direct power transfer through a heavy-duty gearbox, the MP972 is one of the most efficient tractor-mounted mulchers available in its class.
