About this product
Upgrade the steering links on your Bronco or Ranger Raptor
When rough tracks are part of the fun, stronger steering links are a sensible upgrade to make while replacing worn parts. Apex KIT300 gives your Bronco or Ranger Raptor a pair of heavy-duty inner and outer tie rod assemblies, in a design 33% larger than OE. Forged housings, chromoly studs and greaseable metal-to-metal bearings give you substantial hardware you can maintain.
SKU: KIT300
Both front steering links in one kit
The kit contains a TR220 and a TR221 inner/outer assembly, with boots, grease fittings and hardware. The SAE 1045 forged steel housings are CNC machined, while the hot-forged SAE 4140 chromoly studs are polished for smooth bearing movement. Rolled and stepped threads and an E-coat finish complete the assemblies.
Boots that move with the steering
CR rubber accordion boots provide flexibility as the steering articulates, helping protect the joints from dirt and road contaminants. The joints arrive pre-greased and have grease fittings and internal grease channels. Replacement boot references are XP109 for the outer boot and BEL300 for the inner boot.
Bronco fitment and HOSS systems
The Bronco application is 2021-2025 4WD, excluding Bronco Sport. The listed versions include Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks and Badlands for 2021-2025, plus Heritage and Heritage Limited for 2023-2025. The kit fits HOSS 1.0 and HOSS 2.0; on HOSS 3.0 the boot needs stretching over the rack side during installation.
Fitting to a Ranger Raptor
The Ranger Raptor application is 2019-2025 4WD. Have the pair fitted and aligned using the procedure for your model year and steering configuration. The linked Ranger Raptor fitting guide is for 2024-onwards models.
Alignment and servicing
The assemblies arrive pre-assembled, but fitting still involves separating the inner and outer sections to install them on the steering rack. Have the work and wheel alignment completed properly, then inspect the boots and jam-nut torque at oil changes. Add grease only as needed: overfilling can damage the boots.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a pair?
Yes. KIT300 contains two inner/outer tie rod assemblies, one TR220 and one TR221, to cover both sides of the front steering.
Does it fit Bronco Sport?
No. Bronco Sport is excluded. The Bronco application starts with the 2021 model year.
Will it work with HOSS 3.0?
Yes, with the rack-side boot stretched over the rack during fitting. HOSS 1.0 and 2.0 are also listed.
Can I fit this kit myself?
We recommend professional fitting and a wheel alignment. Your installer should use the procedure for your model year and steering configuration; the linked Ranger Raptor guide covers 2024-onwards.
What does 33% larger refer to?
It describes the larger Apex design compared with OE. It is not a claimed 33% increase in tested strength.
Can I service the joints?
Yes. They arrive pre-greased and include grease fittings. Check boots and jam-nut torque at oil changes, and avoid overfilling the boots.
