Sachetto translates to “little bag” and refers to how the soft, leather lining is sewn into a bag-like shape before it’s attached to the upper. Because the “sachetto” is one piece of leather and there are no visible seams, the shoe fits and feels like a glove. It’s especially difficult to do with pointed toe styles, which means The Gia Bootie is a feat even by the standards of Italian craftsmanship.
