About this product
Engineered for maximum clearance, uncompromising strength, and serious off-road performance, the DRT Fabrication High Clearance Rear Bumper transforms the rear end of the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma. Purpose-built for the 4th Generation Tacoma, this bumper combines heavy-duty steel plate construction with precision-formed DOM tubing to deliver exceptional strength without unnecessary weight.
Designed to eliminate the limitations of the factory rear bumper, our high clearance design removes the factory rear crossmember and integrated hitch assembly to significantly improve departure angle and maximize clearance behind the rear tires. Whether navigating technical rock trails, steep departures, or demanding off-road terrain, this bumper provides the clearance and protection needed to push your Tacoma further.
Strength Where It Matters. Weight Where It Doesn't.
The bumper's main structure is constructed from 1/4" steel plate, reinforced by a 1.75" x .120" DOM main tube and dual 1.5" x .120" DOM support tubes on each side. Integrated recovery points feature a laminated 3/8" steel core with 1/4" reinforcement plates on both sides, creating a substantial 7/8" total thickness. An integrated 2" x 2" hitch receiver, constructed from 1/4" wall tubing and reinforced with structural gussets, completes the design.
Modern functionality hasn't been sacrificed for off-road capability. The bumper is designed to retain factory Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and backup parking sensor functionality (read notes at bottom), while integrated lighting provisions accommodate Baja Designs S2, comparable KC lights, and similarly sized lights. Optional chase and rock light mounting locations provide additional flexibility.
Our adjustable, tool-free license plate mount offers 2 positions. Keep the plate lowered for everyday driving, or slide it approximately 2" upward behind the main tube when heading off-road for added protection and clearance.
Developed through extensive R&D and real-world testing across multiple Tacoma platforms, every bumper is manufactured, welded, and jig-aligned in the USA to ensure consistent fitment, structural integrity, and the quality expected from DRT Fabrication.
Built Light. Built Right.
