About this product
The TOTO SoftClose Non Slamming, Slow Close Elongated Toilet Seat and Lid is the latest in innovative smart seat technology. Constructed of solid, high-impact plastic, this unique seat is specifically designed to reduce injury and to eliminate annoying "Toilet Seat Slam." The seat and lid utilize a built-in SoftClose hinge system, which lowers the seat and lid down to the bowl gently and quietly.
The engineering of SoftClose incorporates TOTO's high standard of quality and consumer ease. Top tightening mounting bolts ensure easy and secure installation. The seat couples well with TOTO T40 WASHLET+ bowls in order to conceal the WASHLET+ channel. All mounting and installation hardware for the SoftClose seat is included, along with easy to follow installation instructions and care and maintenance guidelines.

- Solid high-impact, high gloss polypropylene
- Conceals TOTO WASHLET+ channels in TOTO T40 WASHLET+ bowls
What is the difference between the TOTO SS114#01 and SS124#01 toilet seats?
They look and function about the same, except for the Washlet+ bowls where the SS114#01 does not cover the hole, but the SS124#01 does. However, the SS124#01 uses a bit more convenient top-mounting hardware - you install and tighten the seat from above the bowl, through the seat bolt holes. The SS114#01 uses a traditional seat-mounting method: you drop the bolts through the seat holes from above, but the key difference is that you secure them from underneath the bowl. The top-mounted SS124#01 is preferred in situations where the underside of the toilet is hard to reach, which is common on skirted toilets and some WASHLET+ bowls; or if you just don't feel like crawling on the floor.
