About this product
The Smithey Ironware Carbon Steel Wok is a premium cooking solution, hand-forged by artisan blacksmiths in Charleston, SC. Crafted from carbon steel with a unique hand-hammered surface, this wok is designed to heat up quickly and evenly, making it perfect for stir-frying, sautéing, steaming, and light frying. Its flat bottom ensures stability and surface contact across a range of heat sources, from gas to induction to electric. Weighing approximately 3.4 lbs, it offers a balance between lightweight maneuverability and substantial cooking capacity. The wok comes pre-seasoned and develops a natural non-stick patina with use, similar to cast iron cookware. Each piece is unique, with hand-hammered rivets and a gooseneck handle designed to encourage movement and keep your hand away from the flame.
