Frequently asked questions

What bags does the Sanitaire SC888 use?

The SC888 uses Sanitaire Style ST paper disposable bags, held inside its zippered outer cloth bag. Each bag holds up to 9.5 quarts.

How much does the Sanitaire SC888 weigh?

The SC888 weighs 21.2 lbs. Its steel construction is heavier than plastic home uprights, but it is built to survive daily commercial use.

How long is the SC888 power cord?

50 feet, so you can clean large rooms and hallways with fewer outlet changes.

Is the Sanitaire SC888 good for home use?

Yes. Many customers buy the SC888 for busy homes because of its steel build and easy-to-service design. It is a carpet-focused machine, though, with no on-board tools or hose, so pair it with a canister or handheld for upholstery and stairs.

What warranty comes with the SC888?

The Sanitaire SC888 carries a 2-year warranty.

Where can I find parts for my SC888?

Use the SC888-K parts diagrams above to find your part number, or call our parts team at 866-972-8227 with your model number. We stock Sanitaire belts, bags, brush rolls and replacement parts.
