About this product
Step in, step down, ride. The Salomon XA Supermatic® is a hands-free convenience binding that works with any snowboard boot. No special boots and no special board are needed. A reclining highback opens wide so you can drop your foot in, step on the heel pedal, and you're locked. Pull the release lever to get out.
It doesn't give up the feel of a traditional strap binding. You get Salomon's hybrid ankle-toe strap, a 2.5° canted footbed, and a medium-stiff all-mountain flex. You can run it fully automatic, or strap in and out like a regular binding when conditions call for it.
Key Features
- Automatic entry: the reclining XA Supermatic® highback opens for easy entry. Step on the heel pedal to lock in, pull the lever to exit.
- Dual entry: set it and forget it in automatic mode, or strap and unstrap like a traditional binding.
- Universal: works with every snowboard boot and board on the market.
- Supermatic® baseplate: 30% fiberglass nylon composite, stiffer than low-end plastic and more comfortable than aluminum.
- Universal disc with IMS: fits all mounting systems, and the Integrated Mounting System keeps disc screws in place while you adjust.
- Canted footbed: 2.5° cant for pop, edge control and easier knees.
- LSR 2.0 Auto-Lock ratchets with MicroMax and tool-free strap adjustments.
