About this product

Angelus Rose Leather Dye is a leather dye in a classic rose, for recoloring and restoring shoes, boots, bags, and other leather goods. It soaks into the leather instead of sitting on top like paint, and it won't peel or crack.

Choose a 3 oz. bottle, pint, or quart.

How to use it

  1. Clean the leather and remove the factory finish with Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer so the dye can soak in.
  2. Apply the dye evenly with a wool dauber.
  3. Let the leather dry completely, then add another coat if you want it deeper.
  4. Seal it with Angelus Acrylic Finisher for added protection.

Pro-grade dye, made easy for first-timers

  • It's the same professional-grade leather dye fashion, footwear, and entertainment companies use to make their pieces, at everyday prices.
  • Dye soaks right in for a rich, even color. Start with one coat and add more until it's as deep as you want.
  • Try it first on the Angelus Leather Test Swatch or a hidden spot to see the color on your leather.
  • Free step-by-step tutorials on our YouTube channel and FAQs walk you through it. Not sure about a color? Check the Color Chart. Unused products can be returned within 30 days.

What customers say

“First time using leather dye on a wood project. Covers well and penetrates deep with a quick dry time if sanding is needed. I'm excited to see the outcome when finished.”

★★★★★ Tracie D., Warwick, RI

“This dye mixes so well with the neutral dye. I was making a shade of pink to dye my shoes and it was the absolute perfect shade of pink. Extremely happy with Angelus products.”

★★★★★ Emma E., Woodstock, GA

Common questions

Will Rose look the same on my leather?

The final shade depends on the leather underneath, so it can come out a little deeper or lighter than the bottle. Test a hidden spot first.

How do I make Rose lighter?

Mix in Angelus Neutral Leather Dye, which is clear and dilutes the color without changing the hue.

Leather dye or leather paint?

Dye soaks in and changes the color of the leather itself, while Angelus Paint sits on top and covers it, so paint is the better pick for going lighter.
