A rear lower shock skid kit for the 2017–2020 Gen 2 Ford F-150 Raptor, made from 3/16" steel. It protects the bottom of each rear shock and the rear axle shock mounts from rock damage, and bolts on through the shock bolt.
The lower shock mount sits under the axle, where it takes hits the rest of the axle clears. This skid gives that corner something solid to slide on, so the shock and its bracket are not the first things to meet a rock.

Why Protect The Lower Shock Mount
The rear shocks bolt to the axle at their lowest point. On rough or rocky ground, that mount and the bottom of the shock are exposed to direct strikes. A hit there can bend the shock eye, damage the axle bracket or dent the shock body.
The skid wraps the bottom of the shock and the axle mount, so the impact goes into the steel skid instead, and the skid slides the truck over the obstacle.

Fitment
Fits the Gen 2 Ford F-150 Raptor, model years 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Installation
Bolt-on. The main mount shares the shock bolt, which is why the kit includes longer shock bolts and nuts. An additional bolt on the back plate keeps the skid in the correct position at all times.
