Q: Should I soak my new friction plates before installing them?
A: Absolutely. We strongly recommend soaking your new friction plates in fresh 2-stroke transmission oil for at least 30 minutes to an hour prior to installation. This ensures they are fully saturated and prevents premature wear or glazing during the first ride.
Q: How many plates come in this set?
A: This set includes 6 friction plates, which is the complete count required for your 65cc application.
Expert Pro-Tip: Since 65cc bikes have smaller clutches, they are very sensitive to oil condition. Use a high-quality 80W transmission oil and change it frequently. If you notice your clutch lever feel getting "mushy" or inconsistent, it is usually a sign that your oil is broken down or your friction plates are reaching the end of their service life.
