About this product
Ricochet makes skid plate kits for the 2009-2025 Polaris Sportsman 850. Pick your model year to get the right fit:
2009-2010: SKU 727 | 2011-2013: SKU 742-13 | 2014-2016: SKU 742-15 | 2017-2025: SKU 929
Rocks, logs, and stumps can wreck your undercarriage fast. This kit bolts underneath your Sportsman to take those hits so your machine doesn't. You get a full frame skid plate plus an extra bash plate up front where you need the most protection.
What you get
- Full frame skid plate
- Front bash plate
- All bolts and hardware ready to bolt on
Material choices
You've got two options depending on how hard you ride. Straight 3/16" 5052 H-32 aluminum is solid and holds up well. Or step up to 3/16" aluminum with a 1/4" UHMW layer — that plastic layer on top slides over rocks instead of catching, which a lot of guys prefer if you're in rocky terrain.
Black powder coat finish
Want it in black instead of bare aluminum? Add $80 and it'll take an extra 1-2 weeks to ship while we coat it. Black only for the powder coat option.
