About this product
Sourdough Play Set
Because the littlest bakers always want to do what they see you doing.
If you’ve ever tried to feed your starter, shape a loaf, or pull out your mixing bowl with a little one standing beside you asking, “Can I help?” this set was made for them.
The Sourdough Play Set gives little bakers their very own version of the sourdough process. They can feed their pretend starter, mix and knead their dough, let it “proof,” shape their loaf, and bake it right alongside you.
Designed and handmade by another mama-owned small business, each set encourages imaginative, sensory, screen-free play while helping develop fine motor skills and giving children a hands-on way to imitate the rhythms they see happening in the kitchen.
The Sourdough Play Set includes:
- Homemade sensory play dough “sourdough starter”
- Starter jar with handmade fabric cover
- Mini sourdough whisk/spatula
- Mini proofing bowl
- Proofing towel
- Mini bread pan
- Mini hot pad
- Play dough recipe card
- Gift-ready packaging
We especially love these because they’re more than another toy. They’re an invitation to bring your kids into something you’re already doing.
While you’re mixing, they’re mixing.
While you’re shaping, they’re shaping.
While your loaf is proofing, theirs can be too.
Those ordinary afternoons in the kitchen are often the things childhood memories are made of.
Perfect for little sourdough helpers, imaginative play, homeschool and preschool activities, quiet-time play, or gifting to the tiniest bread baker in your life.
Made for little hands. Inspired by real kitchens. Created for the memories made in between.
Adult supervision required. Set contains small parts and is not intended for unsupervised play. Play dough is for play only and should not be consumed.
