Pacifier Buddy

# Pacifier Buddy Character: Georgia Giraffe Brand: Apple Park & Organic Farm Buddies Category: Toys & Play > Plush Toys Georgia Giraffe is a pacifier-buddy toy that combines a mini plush, a rattle, and a crinkle pacifier keeper in one piece. Her design leans into playful character details, with fabric knots, cushy ears, and small accessories meant to catch a baby's attention. Note that the pacifier itself is not included. She is made with soft organic cotton jersey, using 100% GOTS certified organic cotton and a naturally hypoallergenic corn fiber filler. The fabric is colored with GOTS certified low impact dye, and the crinkle paper and rattle inside are phthalate-free, non-toxic, and BPA-free. We don't take paid placements or sponsored rankings, so a score is never influenced by who pays to be seen. This product's TrustScore: 86/100, weighted across 9 criteria. - Construction Integrity: 91/100. The eyes, nose and mouth are embroidered rather than attached hardware, the most secure attachment a mouthed plush can carry, and the rattle is sewn inside the body rather than clipped on. The knit shell is organic cotton over a corn-fibre fill, named component by component across the buddy line. No stitching method or seam-strength figure is published alongside it. - Toy Safety Compliance: 90/100. The brand names ASTM F963 and EN 71 certification for its plush toys, and states that its toys are tested to the governmental safety standards of the US, Australia, Canada and Europe. No testing lab and no children's product certificate is named. - Fabric & Fill Chemical Safety: 91/100. The fabric is 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton dyed with GOTS-compliant low-impact, azo-free dyes, and the filler is a named organic cotton and hypoallergenic corn fiber blend — specific, finished-product-scoped disclosure with no certificate number published. - Age Grading & Choking Safety: 78/100. The finished product listing does not state an age grade at all, and no small-parts warning appears alongside the plastic safety-eyes claim for this specific pacifier buddy. - Recall History: 92/100. We queried the complete CPSC recall corpus (9,969 records, 1973-2026) for this brand and found one 2013 recall for children's loungewear flammability — a different product category than this plush toy. No recall touches the plush or pacifier-buddy line. - Sleep & Age Marketing Honesty: 78/100. Apple Park states no age grade for this pacifier buddy anywhere it describes the line, and no safe-sleep boundary is given alongside it. Nothing the brand publishes about the buddy positions it for sleep or for a newborn, so the age boundary is absent rather than overstated. - Washability & Durability: 74/100. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low is instructed for this product, but care guidance elsewhere recommends spot cleaning or hand washing the same organic cotton and corn-fiber construction instead, a direct contradiction in the published care claim. No harm or shape loss is reported from either method. - Certification Credibility: 92/100. The fabric is named as GOTS-certified organic cotton dyed with GOTS-compliant low-impact dyes, and ASTM F963 and EN 71 certification is asserted for the plush line — named standards for the finished product, though no certificate numbers are published. - Transparency & Support: 85/100. The country of manufacture (China) and the stuffing composition (organic cotton and corn fiber) are published, but no warranty terms or a spare-parts/repair route are stated anywhere for this plush line. ## Certifications - GOTS Certified Organic (issued by Global Organic Textile Standard). GOTS certification verifies that a textile product's organic fibre content and its full processing supply chain meet defined organic, environmental and social criteria. Not covered: This certification addresses organic fibre content, processing chemicals and supply-chain conditions; it is not a general product safety, flammability, or choking-hazard test. These certifications are held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show them because the brand states them for this product. ## Specifications - Fabric: 100% GOTS certified organic cotton - Filler: 100% naturally hypoallergenic corn fiber - Fabric Dye: GOTS certified low impact dye - Care: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, do not bleach, do not iron - Includes: Pacifier not included
