The Cloudsurfer Max is On's max-cushion trainer, built for long, easy-paced miles rather than fast work. If you want the softest shoe in the On range for recovery days and long runs, this is it.
Heel and midfoot width are normal with good volume through the upper, so it suits higher-volume feet and leaves room for swelling on long runs. The forefoot is slightly roomier than average but tapers noticeably at the front, which may not suit runners who need real toe splay. One reviewer found the length a touch close and would size up half specifically for very long runs.
