About this product
Increase fuel efficiency in windy conditions for canister-top stoves
Flat Cat Gear's TOAKS version of the Ocelot 3.8 Windscreen is designed specifically for 95mm mugs. This effective windscreen and burner plate system is designed to enhance fuel efficiency for canister-top stoves on windy days. While all stoves benefit from a windscreen, canister-top stoves are particularly vulnerable to wind, and the Ocelot 3.8 Windscreen provides an innovative solution.
Using a windscreen with a canister stove requires careful spacing to prevent overheating of the fuel. Traditional solutions have often been bulky and heavy. The Ocelot System redefines this approach with a lightweight, packable windscreen that fits inside your cooking pot or mug. It shields the burner head from wind while ensuring proper airflow and allowing the isobutane canister to stay cool.
Features:
- All components nest entirely within your mug
- Durable stainless steel construction built to last on trail
- Secure and easy-to-set-up pin-and-slot closure system
- For best fuel efficiency, adjust the stove to about 1/3 full power when in use
- The Pocket Rocket Mini version will support the ability to nest a fuel canister along with the windscreen and stove inside of a pot.
Includes: Customized windscreen, burner plate or pot support arm extenders, and instructions
*Note that both stove type and size of pot/mug you're using will determine which type of Ocelot Windscreen to purchase! See below for details...
**Stove is not included
