About this product
The New Balance 1906L ‘Black’ offers a unique fusion of sneaker performance and loafer-inspired sophistication. Reimagining the classic 1906 silhouette, this innovative design blends casual comfort with a refined, slip-on aesthetic, creating a distinctive hybrid style.
Instead of the traditional mesh construction found on the original 1906, this version features a premium black leather upper that elevates its overall appearance. Dynamic paneling, subtle branding, and a stitched “N” logo on the forefoot add character, while a glossy TPU heel counter enhances both structure and visual appeal.
Despite its dressier look, the 1906L retains the performance-focused technology that defines the 1906 series. An ACTEVA LITE midsole and Ortholite insole provide lightweight cushioning and all-day comfort, while ABZORB SBS pods deliver enhanced shock absorption. A Stability Web outsole completes the design with added support and durability.
The New Balance 1906L ‘Black’ stands out for its seamless blend of formal and athletic influences, offering a fresh take on modern footwear. It was released on March 19, 2025, with a retail price of $160.
