About this product
Product Description
The Moen 13769 is a polished chrome escutcheon designed as a direct replacement part for the Moen Chateau two handle tub and shower faucet series. An escutcheon is the decorative plate that surrounds the faucet valve or handle where it meets the wall. It creates a clean, finished look by concealing the rough opening in the wall and any gaps around the pipe or valve stem. This part is essential for any plumber, remodeler, or maintenance professional completing a repair or renovation on a Moen Chateau tub and shower installation. The round profile fits the classic styling of the Chateau series and delivers a polished chrome finish that resists tarnishing and complements standard bathroom fixtures. Using a genuine Moen replacement escutcheon ensures correct fit and finish. Aftermarket plates may not seat flush or align with existing valve trim, which can leave gaps or cause water intrusion behind the wall surface. The 13769 is a factory-specified component, so it matches the original dimensions and mounting points of the Chateau two handle faucet trim. Plumbers and service technicians working on older Moen Chateau installations will find this part useful when the original escutcheon is cracked, scratched, or missing entirely. It is also a practical upgrade when repainting or retiling a bathroom, since the escutcheon can be swapped out to restore a like-new appearance without replacing the entire valve assembly. The polished chrome surface is easy to clean and pairs well with other chrome fixtures and hardware. Whether you are doing a routine service call or a full bathroom refresh, the Moen 13769 escutcheon provides a reliable, brand-matched solution for Chateau series tub and shower faucets.
