The built-in thermostat prevents oil flow to the cooler until the engine oil reaches activating temperature, allowing for both a faster warmup at startup and extra oil system protection in cold climates. This Direct-Fit kit positions a large cooler in the front bumper for ample airflow and optimal cooling, which is perfect for the street or track BRZ/FR-S. Properly regulated oil temperatures will result in improved durability and longevity for your stock or modified 2.0L.
