Aluminum Engine Bash Plate (Free!)

The engine of the Mav R is the most expensive and vulnerable section in the vehicle. To ensure the engine has the protection it deserves, we added a bash plate that is sandwiched between the frame and the UHMW. This ensures you get the rigidity, impact protection, and slickness required for all types of driving.

Our Maverick R Skid Plate has 1 massive main panel which reduces the chance of catching, tearing off, or hanging down. Our tail is reinforced with an aluminum bash plate making it nearly impenetrable.

Slide With UHMW Rock Sliders 

Our proprietary Rock Sliders for the Maverick R Skid create a snug fit between the rocker and the Mav R body. This means it forms to the angle of the machine, not the standard 90 degree angle.

Installation and Maintenance of the Maverick R Skid Plate 

Easiest Install

No tapping required on the Maverick R skid plate! We reuse all available factory holes. SSS Offroad custom made fasteners are fine threaded screw that automatically tap pre-drilled holes. The fine threads are very important because the frame tubing is so thin. 

Premium Hardware

We use the best corrosion resistant coating available so that no matter the environment, your hardware will stand up.

Our Maverick R Skid uses fine threaded screws so you get the most thread contact on each mounting point with a steel rounded cup washers. This creates even more protection and enables a tighter hold than a standard bolt-to-plastic connection. 

Maintenance is Easy for a UHMW Skid

We include essential drain and maintenance holes. If an area is serviced less than once a year, we do not include it and recommend removing the panel to clean and service.
