Mauri's 4853 "Steam Boat" monk strap dress shoes are cut from genuine alligator body skin in a yellow burnished finish. Burnishing darkens the edges and high points of the hide, so the yellow shifts in depth across the scales instead of sitting flat. Alligator body skin shows the large rectangular scales the species is known for, and the monk strap replaces laces with a buckled strap across the instep.
