One scarlet poppy from Maija Isola's beloved Unikko pattern opens at the center of this mini dish, its dark stem running toward the edge against a crisp white ground. The small shape and slightly raised lip suit soy sauce and dips, olive stones, a spoonful of jam or honey, salt at the table, and a resting place for a used spoon or tea bag beside the stove. It falls in the useful space between a bowl and a plate. The Marimekko Unikko Mini Sauce Dish measures 4 inches across, is made from durable white stoneware, and is microwave, oven, freezer and dishwasher safe.
