About this product
The Malibu Latigo Shoe is a cult-classic huarache moccasin.... their most sought after and celebrated design. Back when surfers headed south to Baja Mexico to avoid the crowded southern Californian surf scene in the late 1950's, they befriended the indigenous people of Mexico who introduced them to these types of simple yet complex and rustic hand-woven sandals. Since then huaraches are also referred to as 'surfer sandals.'
With a return to traditional design approach using contemporary engineering techniques and using cruelty-free vegan materials, Malibu has updated this classic style for your everyday wear.
