Padded Bag Included
A padded, water-repellent bag carries both rails plus clamps, so the rails stay straight and protected between jobs.

Overview

The Makita 194368-5 55 In. Guide Rails for Track Saws (x2) with Guide Rail Connector Kit and Premium Padded Protective Guide Rail Bag is a complete rail package for Makita track saw owners who want long, straight cuts and a way to carry the rails. This is a track saw guide rail kit designed for ripping full sheet goods, crosscutting panels, and making straight or bevel cuts with a plunge saw. SKU 194368-5-194368-5-P-20177-E-05664 includes two Makita 194368-5 55" guide rails, a Makita guide rail connector kit (2-pack), and the Makita E-05664 premium padded guide rail bag.

One 55" rail handles crosscuts and shorter rips. Two of them joined end to end give you about 110" of rail, enough to rip an 8 ft sheet of plywood or MDF lengthwise in one pass. That is the cut most track saw owners buy a second rail for, and this kit gets you there without hunting down parts.

Each 194368-5 rail is aluminum, with smooth rubber inserts that let the saw base glide along the rail. The rail works with the saw base to deliver straight, dead-on cuts and bevel cuts. The rail fits Makita plunge saws, including the corded Makita SP6000J, the 36V LXT Makita XPS01PTJ, and the 40V max XGT Makita GPS01M1J, and it also fits other track saws on the market.

The connector kit is what makes two rails act like one. The connectors are steel for long life, install quickly, and hold the rails in line so accuracy carries across the joint. They work with Makita guide rails as well as select competitor rails.

For cuts where the rail might shift, such as narrow offcuts, slick melamine, or angled cuts, add a pair of Makita 191J52-3 guide rail clamps to lock the rail to the workpiece.

The E-05664 bag protects the investment. It is built from tear-resistant, water-repellent 1680D polyester with padded linings, and it holds two 55" rails, two 39" rails, or one of each, up to 59" long. Adjustable hook and loop straps hold the rails in place, interior pockets secure shorter rails, and a zippered front pocket carries clamps and connectors. A reinforced handle, a shoulder strap with quick-release buckles, and a large zipper pull you can grab with gloves on make it easy to carry from the truck. It also fits Festool, DeWALT, Triton, and other track saw rails up to 59".

Rails are only as straight as you keep them. A rail that rattles around loose in a truck bed picks up dings on the edge, and a ding on the edge shows up in every cut. Keeping them in the padded bag protects the edge and the splinter strip. When the splinter strip finally wears, the Makita 191J53-1 replacement splinter guard strip restores a clean cut line.

Who should buy it? Makita track saw owners who started with one rail and want full-length rips, cabinet installers and finish carpenters breaking down sheet goods on site, and anyone setting up a new track saw who wants the rails, connectors, and storage handled in one order.

Two Rails That Cut Like One

The steel connectors lock the rails end to end so the saw tracks straight across the joint.

  • About 110" of rail with both 55" rails joined
  • Steel connectors, quick to install

Carry and Store Them Right

The padded bag keeps rail edges from getting dinged in the truck and keeps clamps and connectors with the rails.

  • Holds rails up to 59" long
  • Tear-resistant, water-repellent 1680D polyester

Aluminum Rails With a Smooth Glide

The aluminum rail stays rigid for straight cuts, and the rubber inserts let the saw base slide smoothly along it.

  • 55" (1,400 mm) per rail
  • Straight and bevel cuts with Makita plunge saws

Join the rails on a flat surface and lay a known straightedge across the joint before you snug the connectors. Once the seam is dead straight, leave the rails joined for the job and you won't have to re-check it for every rip.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

The Makita 194368-5 55 In. Guide Rails (x2) with Connector Kit and Bag Finish the Track Saw Setup

A single rail limits you to crosscuts and short rips. Two rails, connectors, and a bag fix that in one order.

  • Who it's for: Makita track saw owners who want full 8 ft rips and a proper way to haul their rails.
  • Why it stands out: Two rails, steel connectors, and a padded bag that fits them all, bought together instead of piece by piece.
  • Worth knowing: No saw and no clamps in the kit. Plan on a pair of rail clamps for narrow or slippery stock.

Common Questions

  • Can I rip a full 8 ft sheet with this kit? Yes. Two 55" rails joined with the included connectors give you about 110" of rail.
  • Do the rails work with non-Makita track saws? Makita states the rail fits other guide rail saws on the market. Check your saw's base before buying.
  • Will the bag fit my Festool rails? Yes. The E-05664 bag fits Festool, DeWALT, Triton, and other track saw rails up to 59".
