We don't take paid placements or sponsored rankings, so a score is never influenced by who pays to be seen. This product's TrustScore: 84/100, weighted across 11 criteria. - Weakest-Component Chemistry: 84/100. The Play Gym's OEKO-TEX claim and material list are specific, but the Sensory Strands are '95% cotton and 5% polyester... responsibly sourced, baby-safe materials' with no certificate, and the wooden and plastic pieces in The Looker Play Kit carry only a generic 'water-based & nontoxic paint' claim with no lab or migration test cited. - Small Parts & Attachment Integrity: 78/100. Seam security, attachment method for the Play Gym's hanging toys, and small-parts handling for the mits, sensory links, and rattle in The Looker Play Kit are not described, and no independent testing of this set's pieces was found. - Bundle Composition Disclosure: 87/100. The product names the three components (Play Gym, Sensory Strands, The Looker Play Kit) and gives materials and care for the Play Gym and Sensory Strands, but The Looker Play Kit's own contents are only described elsewhere as a truncated list (mittens, sensory links, mobile, and more) without full materials or sizes. - Recall History: 92/100. We queried the CPSC recall registry directly across its full corpus and found two closed Lovevery recalls, both choking-hazard issues on other play kits, both voluntary, both remedied with free replacements, and neither reporting an injury. Neither recall involved this gift set's components. - Safe-Sleep Adjacency: 78/100. The set includes a soft play mat and fabric sensory pieces, but we found no safe-sleep guidance stating these components are for supervised play only and not for the crib, and no imagery description confirming a bare sleep space framing. - Age-Grading Integrity: 79/100. The set is sold as a newborn bundle and its components (The Looker Play Kit, The Play Gym, Sensory Strands) read as newborn/early-infant items, but no single stated age grade is provided for the set as a whole, and nothing confirms the sensory links, rattle or mobile parts against small-parts testing. - Certification Credibility: 91/100. The Play Gym is named OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified for the finished product, tested to be baby safe, with materials listed as real wood, silicone and cotton. No certificate number is published, but the claim is specific and covers the finished item. - Textile Certification Scope: 87/100. OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification is stated for the Play Gym's fabric mat, but the Sensory Strands, made of cotton and polyester, carry no certification scope of their own beyond 'responsibly sourced, baby-safe materials.' - Transparency & Support: 84/100. Materials are named for the Play Gym and Sensory Strands (wood, silicone, cotton, polyester fill), but the manufacturing country, supplier, and warranty terms for this set are not published anywhere we found. - Component Compliance Coverage: 79/100. The Play Gym carries a specific finished-product safety and material claim, but no compliance standard is named for the Sensory Strands or for the small toy pieces in The Looker Play Kit, such as the mits, sensory links, or rattle. - Bundle Contents Honesty: 78/100. What's included at the set level (Play Gym, Sensory Strands, Looker Play Kit) is stated but individual sizes or quantities for every piece inside The Looker Play Kit are not given, nor any substitution disclosure, and we found no review pattern addressing completeness for this specific set. ## Certifications - OEKO-TEX Certified (issued by OEKO-TEX (Standard 100)). OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certifies that every component of a textile item has been lab-tested and found free of harmful substances above set limits. Not covered: It tests for chemical residues only and does not certify general product safety features like choking hazards, flammability, or mechanical construction. These certifications are held by the brand or manufacturer, not by Birch. We show them because the brand states them for this product. ## Specifications - Piece Count: 22 pieces (11 playthings, 5 card sets, 2 card holders, 2 play guides, 1 play space cover, 1 wooden book) - Play Gym Certification: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 - Sensory Strands Fabric: 95% cotton, 5% polyester - Sensory Strands Filling: 98% polyester fiber, 2% plastic film ## What's included - 1 The Looker Play Kit - 1 The Play Gym - 1 Sensory Strands ## Materials & care - The Play Gym - The Play Gym is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and tested to be baby safe; materials include real wood, silicone, and cotton - The play mat and Developmental Zones are machine-washable in cold water and on gentle air dry - Wipe down wooden and plastic components with a damp cloth as needed - Sensory Strands - Made from 95% cotton and 5% polyester.
