The Little Animal Lover Baby Memory Book has a cream cover with a big grey elephant, pink ear and all, and "Baby's first year" hand-lettered in orange, pink, teal and green, with "a simple book of firsts" along the bottom.
Inside, the colors turn bold, with teal, jungle green, mustard yellow and deep navy. Elephants, a giraffe, parrots and other jungle birds, a polar bear, penguins, a pig and a bear fill the pages, all drawn by hand by Lucy Darling founder Haily Meyers. The birthday pages get "Yay!" speech bubbles.

Forty-eight pages carry you from before birth through age five, with spaces for 49 photos. Thirty-seven of them give you a short prompt to fill in, and the last 11 are left free for notes, extra photos and keepsakes.
