About this product

kyo no oto means "sounds of Kyoto," and each ink recreates a traditional Japanese color that's been used since the Heian period. TAG Stationery developed the series with a Kyoto plant-dyeing laboratory.

The dye-based ink shades beautifully from light to dark as you write, and you can touch it with a water brush to blur and soften the color.
