The Jewel Loafer embodies Meher Kakalia’s signature approach to precious embroidery, transforming the idea of “jewels for the feet” into a tactile design. Glass beads, pearl-like accents, silk threads and metallic mukesh form playful chains, loops and tassel motifs across the upper. Each element is meticulously embroidered by hand by women artisans in the brand’s atelier. The asymmetric composition adds movement and gives every pair its own distinctive character.
Available in toffee brown suede and shiny black leather, with contrasting green piping and a soft fold-down heel. The Jewel Loafer can be worn as a traditional slip-on loafer or with the back folded down as a babouche-style slipper.
