During sanding operations, the spindle rotates at 2,000 RPM while providing a continuous 5/8 in. vertical stroke at 55 oscillations per minute. This vertical movement distributes abrasive wear evenly across the sleeve or belt, preventing heat buildup, minimizing friction, and reducing wood burning to extend abrasive life.
