The ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos is the lead machine of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, a 300-year-old frame recovered and pressed back into service by Tekkadan. Unlike most Gundams it fights almost entirely at close quarters, relying on a mace and sheer structural durability rather than beam weaponry, and it visibly accumulates damage and upgrades across the series. Its Ahab Reactor and Alaya-Vijnana interface are central to how the show's technology works.
