About this product
Usually only found in machine shops, the super-flat face of the WoodRiver® Granite Surface Plate delivers exceptional accuracy for leveling small plane beds, flattening waterstones, and sharpening woodworking tools. Its precision-ground granite surface is equally valuable for leatherworkers, providing a stable, perfectly flat platform for sharpening skiving knives, head knives, utility blades, edge bevelers, and other leathercraft tools. Simply soak a piece of wet/dry sandpaper in water and lay it on the stone. The capillary action of the water holds the paper securely in place, eliminating the need for spray adhesives or PSA sandpaper. Ideal for both woodworking and leatherworking shops, this versatile surface plate helps ensure tools remain flat, sharp, and ready for precise work. When done, wipe clean with a paper towel.
