The GEL-KAYANO 12.1 is exactly the kind of ASICS archive experiment we like. Developed with KITH, the hybrid combines the upper of the 2006 GEL-KAYANO 12 with the sole unit of the GEL-NIMBUS 17, bringing together two different eras of ASICS Running in one very good sneaker.

The upper's distinctive structural overlays take inspiration from European Gothic armor, layered over breathable mesh for that unmistakable mid-2000s technical look. Underneath, dual GEL cushioning and FLUIDRIDE technology provide the comfort. A good reminder of how interesting performance running design was long before it became everyday streetwear.
